Professional Background

CAD Roots
...with a passion for renewable/sustainable energy.
I previously created refrigeration technical drawings for supermarkets using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Processed drawings to be incorporated into the company’s database. Used both AutoCAD and Revit to revise and maintain all engineering disciplines of technical drawings for the facilities many buildings. Updated Construction Drawings to reflect “As - Built” drawings for permanent recording.
Interpreted CAD drawings to generate work orders for machine operators. Consulted with designers and engineers to clarify specifications and provide instructions to production staff. Worked closely with management to optimize resources and create a lean and safe work environment. Developed communication documentation to help convey key design aspects to clients. Managed continuous improvement projects.

Getting Serious About Coding...
My coding career really began in 2015 when I taught myself advanced Excel techniques with the implementation of macros and Microst VBA. i created extremely dynamic "smart" spreadsheets that processed information better than software designed for the same purpose. Throughout my career in engineering, I've ran into several scenarios where knowing how to code would have resolved major hurdles, saving time and money. I decided to put myself through Georgia Tech's Full Time Coding Boot Camp to gain the skills necessary to write code that can provide solutions. I'm enjoying every challenge of Coding Boot Camp and I am looking forward to contributing to the world of developers in my unique way!
